Heart of a Man is launching our study of the book of Matthew—a journey into the life of Jesus and the arrival of His Kingdom. We'll watch Jesus proclaim the kingdom of heaven, confront religious hypocrisy, heal the broken, and call ordinary men into the extraordinary mission of His rule and reign. From the bold truths of the Sermon on the Mount to Jesus’ call to take up our cross, we’ll explore what it means to be men of the Kingdom—marked by conviction, courage, and surrender. We’ll wrestle with the radical way of Jesus, confront our own pride and passivity, and learn to lead with strength that flows from submission to the King. WHAT'S IT LIKE TO BE IN A
HEART OF A MAN BIBLE STUDY?
LARGE, BUT SMALL
After signing up, you will be added to a men's community group made up of 16-18 members and 2 highly trained leaders. These groups are carefully and thoughtfully crafted to ensure every man has a chance to connect with others in a similar life stage, as well as men both older and younger. While the class is over 350 men, you'll stick with these guys for the duration of the study and beyond if you choose!
ENGAGING SPEAKER
After meeting with your group for roughly an hour, we will all come back together as one large class to listen to a 25-30 minute pre-recorded talk by an experienced teacher/leader. He will unpack the Scriptures and apply what we learned that week, making it real through his own personal stories and experiences.
TIME TO CONNECT
We will leave about 10 minutes at the end of the night for men to talk, connect with friends, and meet guys in other groups. We will also sometimes feature a 5-minute testimonial from a man in the class, where he will showcase what the Lord is doing in his life, and how the HOAM community is helping him grow as a man, husband, father, friend, and leader.
STUDY THE WORD
Every week, you will receive a guided set of questions (via e-mail) or through our Digital Study that will help you dive deeply into the Scriptures all through the week. These also include personal questions, which will help spur on meaningful conversations with the men in your group when you come together to talk about what you learned!
